Obituary of Margaret Ethel Jane McKay

Margaret (Peggy) Ethel Jane McKay (nee Sisson), beloved wife of Don McKay of Saskatoon, passed away at Mt. Pleasant House on Saturday, December 4, 2004 at the age of 86 years. Peggy was born on January 1, 1918 at the family farm in Manitoba. She lived in Eston, Kindersley and Saskatoon, SK, and then moved to Calgary after her husband’s passing. She worked at Extendicare in Saskatoon; volunteered at the library in Eston; and was a member of Eastern Star and the Royal Canadian Legion. Peggy was a devoted mother and wife; a social person always concerned with the well being of others. Her greatest passion in life was spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Peggy is remembered by a daughter Gail Byrnes and her partner Terry Craig; two grandchildren and their spouses, Dean Byrnes and Monika Stengele, and Jennifer and Bradley Flubucher; two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Alexander Flubacher; a brother Dawson Sisson and a sister Gladys Cochrane.
