Obituary of Nicola Giannatelli

It is with great sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Nicola Giannatelli, beloved husband and father on Sunday, November 28, 2004. Nick was born in Turi, Bari, Italy on September 1, 1943. He immigrated to Canada in 1967. Nick lived his life to the fullest. Although many of his days were spent working hard, he always took time for family and friends. He loved to travel and had a great passion for his garden. His strength and courage remained constant as he battled his illness, and will always remain with those who loved him. Besides his loving wife Rosa of thirty-nine years, he is survived by his daughters and son-in-laws, Rosalba and Joe and Maria and Michael, as well as his precious granddaughters, Isabella, Alexandra, and Sophie. Nick is also survived by his sister Maria of Italy, his sister-in-law Maria and his niece Rosanna her husband Doug and their children Matthew and Frank. He was predeceased by his daughter Isabella, his parents Giuseppe and Rosa, brother Francesco and nephew Giuseppe. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, December 2, 2004 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Friday, December 3, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Emanuel Buttigieg, Presider. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice.
