Obituary of Julianna Gyorgy

Julianna (Julia) Gyorgy of Calgary passed away at Hillcrest Extendicare on Saturday, November 27, 2004 at the age of 100 years. Julianna was born in Petervasara, Hungary and immigrated to Canada in 1932 to East Coulee, AB. Julianna will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Marie Bondar, and John (Imogene) Gyorgy; five grandchildren, George (Kathy) Bondar, Leslie (Lori) Bondar, Stephen (Robyn) Gyorgy, Margot Gyorgy, and Philip Gyorgy; five great-grandchildren, Craig, Carly and Kevin Bondar, and Caitlin and Thomas Gyorgy; as well as family in Hungary and the United States. Julianna was predeceased by her husband Joseph; and son-in-law Leslie Bondar. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, December 3, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church (819 – 13th Avenue S.W.) on Saturday, December 4, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
