Obituary of Robert David Hantelmann

Robert (Bob) David Hantelmann, beloved husband of Betty Egan of Calgary, passed away in her arms at the Foothills Medical Centre on Sunday, November 28, 2004, after a long courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 63 years. Bob was born in Regina, SK and moved to Calgary in the mid 1960’s. He worked in the Oil & Gas Industry for over thirty years, including Bantrel Inc., Canadian Occidental Petroleum LTD. and Shell Canada. For the past ten years, he owned in partnership, Executive Cuisine Catering. Bob was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #102. Besides his loving wife Betty, Bob is remembered by his children, Bobbie-Lyn Welsh, Robert, Jodi (Darin) Bennett; his mother Opal Robb; his sister Linda (Bill) Chapman and her daughter Rhonda (James) Marrazzo; his six grandchildren, Jeramie and Megan Welsh, Doug, Amanda, Dustin, and Dallas Bennett. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Tom (Elisabeth) Egan; sister-in-law Kaye (Candice) Egan; and sister-in-law Kaireen (Gilbert) Essex. Bob was predeceased by his father Robert Hantelmann; step-father Al Robb; sister Carol Hantelmann; and special uncle William Snyder.
