Obituary of Henrietta Jans

On November 25, 2004 Henrietta Jans (nee Zylka) formerly of Medicine Hat, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Medical Centre following a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease at the age of 79 years. Henrietta was born on November 7, 1925 in Poland. She loved golf, bowling, painting, gardening, watching golf on television, her two dogs Leeza and Sparkey and music. Henrietta’s memory will be cherished by her surviving children, two daughters and one son-in-law, Shirley and Barrie Davis of Edmonton, and Darlene LaPointe of Dartmouth, NS; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Ann Jans of Calgary; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Walley Hill of Saskatchewan and Ann Molin of Calgary; two brothers, Floyd Zylka and Joe Anderson, both of British Columbia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Henrietta was predeceased by her husband, Harry in 1996; and her son Jerry in 1978. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.
