Obituary of Michalina Sneddon

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Michalina (Lena) Sneddon of Calgary at the AgapÚ Hospice on Monday, November 22, 2004 at the age of 97 years. Lena was born on February 1, 1907 in Koziwka, Ternopol, Ukraine and immigrated to Canada in 1923. Lena enjoyed cooking, gardening, cross-stitching, crocheting, and spending time with her family. Lena is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bill and Betty, and Gordon, all of Calgary; two grandchildren, Tracy and her husband Ryan Collyer and Timothy; a great-grandson Benjamin; a niece Marie and her husband Larry Kanuit of Calgary; a nephew Ernie Foss; and her sister-in-law Elsie Sneddon, all of Edmonton. Lena was predeceased by her husband Bill in 2001. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, November 29, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Scott of King’s Bridge Church officiating. A Family Graveside Service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
