Obituary of Ethel E. Harris
Ethel E. Harris (nee Hatton) beloved wife, friend, and soulmate of Jack of Crossfield, AB, passed away peacefully at the Rosedale Hospice on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at 12:30 a.m.
Since being diagnosed with cancer nearly two and a half years ago, Ethel has demonstrated determination and courage to live. She was a model of encouragement to those who knew and loved her. Ethel was born and raised in Fort Macleod, AB, and moved to Calgary in the early 40’s where she met Jack. They settled in and around Carbon and Calgary for most of their lives. Ethel will be remembered for her passions of painting, sewing, her flower garden, and baking. Ethel was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and sister and all that knew her will miss her sense of humour, the stories and jokes she had to tell, and her zest for life. Along with her husband Jack, she will be greatly missed by her children, Cheryl (Paul), Bob (Beth), Ken, Teresa (Glen), and Tim, and by her grandchildren that she loved so much, Peter (Tanis), Jennifer (Craig), Brian (Lyndsay), Sandra (Mike), Russell, William, Christopher, Kelsey-Rae, Shandra Monique; and her great-grandchild Isaiah.
We invite family and friends to remember Ethel and Celebrate her Life at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, November 29, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice.
