Obituary of Emily Thacker

Emily ‘Elsie’ Thacker, beloved wife of John L. Thacker, passed away at the Bow Crest Nursing Home on Sunday, November 21, 2004 at the age of 86 years. Elsie was born in Battleford, SK on June 22, 1918 and moved to Duchess where she spent her school years. She married John in 1951 and together they had a son David. Elsie leaves to mourn her son and daughter-in-law, David and Sharon; and two grandchildren, Emily, age seven and Allan, age five. She is also survived by her brothers, Donald and Shirley of Claresholm, AB and Robert and Pauline of Calgary; nephew Robert Herron of Australia; and niece Elaine Herron of Victoria, BC. She was predeceased by her brothers, James and Gordon; and sisters, Amy Lawrence and Dorothy Herron. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, November 25, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
