Obituary of Edna Gertrude Baldrow

Edna Baldrow, beloved wife of Lorne Baldrow and mother of Sherri Baldrow of Okotoks, passed away peacefully at the AgapÚ Hospice on Thursday, November 18, 2004 after a brief fight with cancer, at the age of 80 years. She was born Edna Gray in Grandview, MB on November 25, 1923. She married Lorne Baldrow in 1955 in Brandon, MB and together they moved to Calgary in 1969 then to Okotoks in 1991. Edna was an active member of the Calgary Free Methodist Church and the Calgary Christian Women’s Club. Besides her loving husband Lorne and daughter Sherri, Edna is survived by her two brothers and sisters-in-law , Bruce and Shirley Gray of Camrose, AB, and George and Caroline Gray of Balgonie, SK; and several nieces and nephews; she will be sorely missed by her many friends and family. Edna was predeceased by a son Shane Baldrow; her parents Ernest and Gertrude Gray; a brother Ivan Gray; and a sister and brother-in-law Doris and Tom Friesen. Funeral Services will be held at Calgary Free Methodist Church (742 – 85th Street S.W.) on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rob Van Norman officiating.
