Obituary of Jerry Sr.

Edward Jerry Sr. (Piiasees), beloved husband of forty-eight years of Pauline, went home to be with our dear Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at the age of 67 years. Edward loved life and enjoyed all kinds of activities such as hockey, billiards, rodeo, hunting and fishing. He supported his children in their sport activities, especially slow pitch. Edward worked hard all his life to provide for his family. He worked in areas such as agriculture, oil and gas, pipelines, roads, and fire fighting. He spent a lot of time with his loving wife Pauline, visiting their children, going to flea markets and enjoying the occasional bingo. He will be sadly missed by his relatives, the Jerry, Sitting Eagle, Leather, Swindler, Windy Boy, Whitecalf, Big Child and Red Calf families. Besides his beloved wife Pauline, Edward leaves to mourn his sons, Donald, Ronald (Maxine), Arnold (Bev) Elroy, Edward Jr. (Roberta), Rolland (Pauline); daughters, Caroline (Ken) Big Child, and Cecelia (Peter) Jerry; thirty-one grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda (Gordon), Arlene, Betty (Harley), Jacklyn (Trent); a brother Terry; aunts, Marie White and Roberta Pelletier, and traditional sister Annabel Solway. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Jim and Alpa; parents, Jack and Edna Jerry; grandsons, Jason and Cory; uncle George Jerry; brother Gordon; aunts, Edna Leather, Nina Red Old Man, Mary Running Bird, Mary Sitting Eagle, and Rita Running Rabbit. Wake Services will be held at Elroy Jerry’s residence in Siksika Nation on Friday, November 19, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (Siksika Nation, AB) on Saturday, November 20, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev.
