Obituary of Marion Eileen Erickson

Marion Eileen passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 14, 2004 at the Medicine Hat Hospital. Marion leaves to cherish her memory five children, Sandra (Ernie), David (Caroline), Brian (Joanne), Susan (Terry), Sherrill (Lyn); ten grandchildren, Kim (Jayson), Gregg (Angela), Michael, Kristina (Steve), Sarah, Eric, Adam (Rachael), Steve, Kelly and Matthew; and great grandson Connor, as well as her sister Colleen and brother Roy. Marion was predeceased by her husband of fifty-eight years “Slim” and her brother John. Marion was born June 4, 1919 in Hardisty, AB. She married Slim in 1942 and together they lived in Vancouver, Dawson Creek, Camrose and Grande Prairie before settling in Calgary in 1965. For the past three years Marion resided at Meadowlands Retirement Residence in Medicine Hat. Marion’s greatest joy came from her family. Her interest in the lives of her children and grandchildren kept her young at heart. She lived her life with a positive attitude, a genuine concern for others and the ability to always see the “bright side”. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
