Obituary of Horst Romih

Horst passed away at the Foothills hospital on November 10, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Moers, Germany and came to Canada in 1960 with his wife Inge. Together they started a family, built a successful business and built a cabin from the ground up at Shuswap Lake. It was at the cabin that he was the happiest. He is survived by his loving wife Inge; his daughter and son-in-law Carmen and Tom Dechert; his son and daughter-in-law Brian and Joanne Romih; his grandchildren Naomi Dechert, Nicole Dechert, Darren Romih and Megan Romih. His family in Germany which included two brothers Helmut (Helga) Romih, Egon (Irene) Romih; sister-in-law Irmgard Vollmann (Georg); sister-in-law Ingrid Kannchen; aunt Emmy Menzel; nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, November 15, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
