Obituary of Eva Lou Neilson

Mom passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday, November 7, 2004, at the age of 67 years. She will be lovingly remembered by daughters and sons-in-law, Leslie Neilson and Robert Enns, and Kara and Duane Fenton; their father Ted Neilson, grandchildren, Dylan, Shane, and Alleah; brothers and sister-in-law, Bernie and Gladys Evans and Bob and Merle Evans; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins. Mom was predeceased by her beloved son Brad, after which life was not quite the same; her brothers, Murray, Duane and Roy; sisters Edna and Jean; and, all too soon, nieces Sherry and Tanys. We are comforted by the excellent company she is now keeping and are sure the welcoming party is just getting started. Many of those who will miss Mom greatly include life-long friends, RoseMarie Roy and Erna Glover; Real Estate buddy Pat Kilen; neighbour Donna Schroeder and nieces, Sandy Anderson, Jeannette Hykaway and Reenie Geig; as well as cousin Lola Nagle. Mom was born in Morse, SK on November 19, 1936, one of eight children, and she began a career in government telephones at an early age. She later met and married Ted and together they relocated to own and run the Bassano Hotel, where Leslie and Brad were born. The family later moved to Calgary where Kara was born, and Mom began a career in Real Estate. Calgary has been “home” to Mom ever since. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at 2:30 p.m..
