Obituary of John Williams

John Williams of Calgary passed away at home on Friday, November 5, 2004 at the age of 58 years. John was born in Liverpool, England on July 12, 1946 and immigrated with his family to Moose Jaw, SK in 1948. He graduated with his Engineering Degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1968 at which time he started working in the construction business. John had a passion for commercial real estate, specifically development, which brought him and his family to Calgary in 1982. He was always very involved in each of his children’s lives, whether it was coaching hockey, soccer or just being a spectator, he was always there. John loved spending summers at the lake waterskiing and golfing and winter in the mountains skiing with his family. His smile, laugh, love, never-ending encouragement and generosity will be so very sadly missed. John is survived by his three children, Jason, Jodine, Jared (Cheryl) and their mom Carol all of Calgary; his brother and sister-in-law Ben and Judy Williams of Winfield, B.C.; and his niece Christine Williams and nephew Ryan Williams both of Regina, SK. He was predeceased by his parents Marion and Ben Williams; as well as his uncle John Williams.
