Obituary of Carolina Mangone

Carolina Mazzei Mangone was called into the arms of Jesus on Friday, October 29, 2004, while surrounded by her loving family. Carolina is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Vincenzo Giovanni Mangone and daughter, Caterina (Paolo) Aiello and son, Luigi (Caterina Greco) Mangone, along with five grandchildren, Vincenzo (Anita) Aiello, Giovanni (Christina) Aiello, Rosina (Edmilson) Rodrigues, Carolina Mangone and Gianni Mangone, along with two greatgrandchildren, Avrille and Vianna Aiello, all from Calgary. Carolina has also left behind her twin sister, Caterina Pirito (Italy) and sisters Rosina Audia (Italy) and Giovanna Mangone (Calgary) along with numerous nieces and nephews. Carolina was born on October 4, 1915 in Castelsilano, Catanzaro, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1959 with her family. As in Italy, her life in Canada was filled with the love, happiness and joy of her large family and many friends. She involved herself with her bountiful garden, her knitting and sewing and the church, and dedicated her life to god and family. She was a beautiful and special person who will be sadly missed by all whose lives were touched by her. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Monday, November 1, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Julian, Presider. Graveside Service will be held at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
