Obituary of Margaret Viola Stichbury

Margaret (Peggy) Stichbury, beloved wife of Allan of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at the age of 71 years. Peggy was born in Winnipeg, MB on February 2, 1933 and raised in Starbuck, MB. She was initially employed as a Secretary with the Manitoba Government in Winnipeg. A highlight of her career was the honour of having the town site of JenPeg, MB named after her and her colleague. While in Winnipeg, Peggy met the love of her life, Allan. The banking business took them to many towns throughout the prairie provinces, with a final move to Calgary in 1975. These were busy years for Peggy, raising three children and working at various jobs within the community. She enjoyed her family, sewing, bridge club, music, hiking and world travel. Peggy will be forever remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a true friend. Her memory is cherished by her husband Allan; her daughters Cathy (Kim) Joslin and Leslie (Rob) Locke; her son Rob (Tamara); and her grandchildren, Danielle, Paul, Kevin, and Christopher. A Celebration of Peggy’s Life will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church (924 Heritage Drive S.W.) on Friday, November 12, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
