Obituary of Frederick David Laurence Luxford

Dave’s journey ended on Tuesday, October 26, 2004. He passed away peacefully at the Beverly Centre and his journey was eased by the care and compassion shown him by the caregivers there. Dave was born on June 11, 1931 in Winnipeg. Always interested in military life he was active in Cadets and in 1951 received his commission in the Canadian Army Regular Force. Dave was proud to have served with the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada. After leaving the Regular Force, Dave enjoyed a career in sales and marketing in Red Deer and Winnipeg. The foothills and mountains of Alberta called him back to Calgary in 1972. At Dave’s request no Funeral Service will be held. Neighbours and friends are invited to join Pat and the family at an informal reception at the Carriage House Inn (9030 Macleod Trail South) on Monday, November 8, 2004 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
