Obituary of Allan Cedric Fradsham

Allan Cedric Fradsham of Calgary, at the age of 92 years and after a brief illness, passed away quietly at his home, while being comforted by his children, on October 22, 2004. Allan was born on April 17, 1912 in Fredericton, NB. He obtained his B.A. from the University of New Brunswick where he was concurrently Captain of both the football and hockey teams. Allan worked for Swift Canadian Co. Ltd. all of his adult life, and was transferred by the company from the Maritimes to British Columbia and finally to Calgary in 1961. He excelled in anything he undertook, including after the death of his beloved wife Mary in 1961, being the sole parent to his children. His character and steadfastness set the standard which all family members strive to meet. Allan is survived by his children, Jean (David) and Allan (Gloria); his adored grandchildren, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Allan, Neal and Murray; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to being predeceased by his wife Mary, Allan was predeceased by his parents Harry and Alice Fradsham; his brother Harry (“Hink”), and his sisters Margaret and Robin. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Friday, October 29, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. A Private Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
