Obituary of Hans Jurgen Steinhauf
Hans Jurgen Steinhauf, beloved husband of Margrit Steinhauf of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre on Saturday, October 23, 2004 at the age of 63 years.
Hans was born on November 21, 1940 in Berlin, Germany and immigrated to Canada on August 23, 1973. He worked in the construction industry for over thirty-one years, cribbing well over 5000 homes in Calgary. Hans enjoyed camping and fishing, and over the last fifteen years developed a love of oil painting. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and good friend.
Besides his loving wife Margrit, Hans is remembered by a daughter and son-in-law, Beate and Bill Hamilton; grandsons James and Scott; and a brother and sister-in-law, Klaus and Karin Steinhauf in Berlin, Germany. He was predeceased by his parents Elfriede and Gerhard.
A Celebration of Hans’ Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Saturday, October 30, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
