Obituary of Herbert Ross Geddes

Ross Geddes, aged 91, left with the same grace that he lived his life on Thursday, October 21, 2004. Ross was born on January 23, 1913 in Grenfell, SK. He served with distinction in the R.C.A.F. as a Pilot from June 1941 to November 1945. Following his discharge he re-joined NCR as a Salesman, upon retiring in Winnipeg, he and Gerry returned to Calgary. Ross is survived by his bride of almost fifty-eight years Geraldine (Gerry); his children, Gary (Myrna), Sandra McGill, Jim, Susan Kostiuk (Larry); his grandchildren, Matthew (Caroline), Jeremy (Angie), Christy (Trevor), Colleen, Michael, Shannon, Elizabeth, Kyle (Stephanie), and Andrew; his cherished great-grandson Conor Ross; a brother Hap (Dorothy); and his cousin Ruth Nelson. Family and friends will always remember him for his gentle and caring disposition, and his devotion to his family. He was always there. A Celebration of Ross’s Life will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church (924 Heritage Drive S.W.) on Tuesday, October 26, 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire expressions of sympathy may be made directly to the H.
