Obituary of Irene Marie Bonnell

Irene Marie Bonnell passed away on October 23rd, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her devoted husband Stan; her four children, Clyde (Val), Larry (Carol), and twins Sheila (Bruce) and Shirley (Shane); and her precious grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley, Amy, Nicole and Kathleen. Irene is also survived by her sister Marie (Fred) Threlfall of Victoria; and two aunts, Margaret Seip and Jean Serek. Irene was predeceased by her infant son Robert; her parents Michael and Mary; her brother Michael; and her dearest friend Rita Nelson. Irene was born and raised in Bellevue, AB and married Stan in 1954. They recently celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Irene served as a Registered Nursing Assistant at the Calgary General Hospital for twenty-eight years. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to Dr. Robert Cole and the nursing staff of Unit 41 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital. A “special” thank you to Dan Johnsen, Evelyn Cunningham and Margy Berg for their understanding and friendship.
