Obituary of George Francis Taylor

George Taylor, beloved husband of Mrs. Candace Taylor of Calgary, passed away at the Chinook Care Centre on Monday, October 18, 2004 at the age of 87 years. George was born November 10, 1916 in Saskatoon, SK and served overseas in the Canadian Military during World War II. He was a UN Peacekeeper in Egypt in 1956 during the Suez Crisis. George discovered a passion for square dancing during his retirement and along with his wife Candace, were long time members of the Western Whirlers. Besides his loving wife Candace, George is remembered by his two daughters, Margaret (Bryan) Cummings of Calgary and Barbara (Ed) Zenko of Smoky Lake, AB. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Claire, Ruth, Joel, Natalie, Carolyn and Daniel. George was predeceased by his daughter’s mother Gladys Taylor and George’s siblings. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Monday, October 25, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev.
