Obituary of Chad Enns

Chad Larry Enns, beloved husband of Tracy Enns (Nyhoff), after a long struggle with cancer, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 16, 2004 at the Rosedale Hospice in Calgary, at the young age of 38 years. Chad will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Shelby and his son Dakota. He will also be mourned by his father, Larry (Fran) Enns, his mother, Toni (Larry) Ambrose, his sister, Cindy (Kevin) Petrie, his in-laws, Ken and Linda Nyhoff and his brother-in-law, Mike Nyhoff, as well as his grandparents, Tony and Elra Schoen, his grandfather, John Enns, as well as a vast number of extended family and friends. Chad will be remembered as the “Gentle Giant” with the huge heart. He always had a ready smile, soft word or a Giant Bear Hug. He was a hard worker and a wonderful husband and father. Chad was involved in many activities that centered around his children, including soccer, scouts, karate, gardening at the Belfast School Garden. During Chad’s illness he was still able to provide many laughs to his friends at Nortel and at Tracy’s work at Tim Hortons. He will be missed by many and loved by all who knew him. He was a caring, loving, husband, father, son and brother. Chad was predeceased by his grandmother, Tina Enns. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:3:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Northminster United Church (3311 Centre Street North) on Thursday, October 21, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In lieu of flowers, an Education Trust Fund has been arranged for Chad’s children, donations will be accepted at the church c/o Tracy Enns.
