Obituary of Theresa Dabrowski
At 12:30 p.m. on October 15, 2004, Theresa passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, to join her grandparents, Edward and Nellie Dabrowski, Alec and Mary Farion and Thumper the family Yorkie.
Theresa fought a long and courageous battle with MS and in her usual style, showed all those around her the true meaning of determination and steadfast resolve to fight on. Her subtle wit will be greatly missed by all. Theresa was born to Manuel and Marion Dabrowski on July 11, 1953 and was the eldest of four daughters. She was schooled in Calgary and graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Holy Cross Hospital. Theresa then relocated to Edmonton where she became an Assistant Head Nurse in the Emergency Ward at the Royal Alexandra Hospital where she was respected and made life long friends. Her illness subsequently caused her to move back to Calgary to be close to her family. Theresa was a quiet girl who enjoyed sharing good times with close friends and family. She had a great appreciation for music, a good steak and cleaning up in an all night poker game. Theresa is survived by her parents and three sisters, Patti Glowasky (Denis), Cathy Jeal (Ted) and Marianne Patton (Wade) as well as a niece and nephew, Katie and Adam Jeal.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (640 – 19th Avenue N.W.) on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at 7:00 p.m.
