Obituary of Elizabeth Gilchrist

Betty Gilchrist of Calgary, formerly of Fort McMurray, passed away at the Sarcee Hospice on Thursday, October 14, 2004 at the age of 58 years. Betty was a Registered Nurse for many years in the oil patch. She always worked hard to increase her education and skills throughout her career. Betty truly loved being an R.N. She will always be remembered for her warm smile and willing hand. Betty is survived by her children, Tracee (Larry) Okrainec of Calgary, AB, Thea Gilchrist, and Dwayne Scherpenisse, both of Fort McMurray, AB; as well as by her two grandchildren, Kodi and Christopher. Betty is also survived by her brother Robert Scherpenisse and her two sisters, Terry Zelisko and Kim Bales. Betty was predeceased by her parents and two brothers. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Monday, October 18, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
