Obituary of Rae Henry Olson

Rae Olson of Calgary, passed away at the Peter Lougheed Centre on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at the age of 81 years. He was born in Edmonton, grew up in Regina and Wynyard SK, and settled in Calgary in 1956. Rae served as a flying instructor in the RCAF during WWII, and flew for Air Ambulance in Saskatchewan. He earned a B.Comm. from the University of Saskatchewan and spent most of his working life as an accountant. Rae is survived by daughter Ingrid, son Laurin (Aileen) and, grandchildren Idris and Sam Mercer, Laura and Colin Olson and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of fifty-six years, Aldis (Sis) in 2001. A celebration of Rae’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, October 15, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
