Obituary of Evelyn Margaret Erickson

Evelyn Erickson of Calgary, passed away at the Rockyview Hospital on October 8, 2004 at the age of 84 years. Evelyn was born on March 13, 1920 in Saskatoon, SK. She received her Teaching Certificate from Calgary Normal School and continued her education for many years after. In 1971, Evelyn graduated from the University of Calgary with a B.Ed. Degree. She taught with the Calgary Catholic School Board and served as Principal for many years at various schools. Evelyn later resided at Royal Park Carewest, where she made many friends and was active in the choir, friend of seniors and school programs. Evelyn is survived by her daughter Barbara Doyle; two grand-daughters, Shawneen Muscoby (Rob) and Colleen Doyle and her two children, Andrew and Logan Doyle, all of Calgary. Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Paul in 1995; her brother Leo English; and her sister Patricia English. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery at a later date.
