Obituary of Ronald James Hawkes

Ronald James Hawkes, beloved husband of Connie Hawkes of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2004 at the age of 81 years. Ron was born and raised in Calgary and worked for Wilkinson Electric and then Raffin Electric before retiring in 1988. He had a love of square dancing as well as camping, and enjoyed traveling abroad and cruising. He was a wonderful, kind and caring man with a great sense of humor. Ron was a devoted family man and will leave a huge void in his family?s lives. He will never be forgotten. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of sixty-one years, Connie; his five children, Donald (Carol), Carol (Frank), Valerie (Everett), Barry (Sharon) and Sue (Darrell). He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Brenda, his sister Elva as well as twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Ron was predeceased by his son Michael and his grandchildren Ryan and Melissa.
