Obituary of Jacob R. Neufeld

Jacob (Jake) R. Neufeld, beloved husband of Barbara of Calgary, passed away after a lengthy illness at the Rockyview General Hospital on Monday, October 4, 2004 at the age of 78 years. Jake was born in Whitewater, MB on January 2, 1926, one of twelve children born to Anna and Wilhelm Neufeld. Jake moved to Calgary in 1980, and worked for Canadian Superior Oil. He was a sports enthusiast who spent a lot of time golfing, which he enjoyed. Besides his loving wife Barbara, Jake is survived by his three children, Gordon (Marilyn) Neufeld of Hamilton, ON and their children Kate and Charlie; Ken (Lesley) Neufeld of Buffalo, NY; Donna (Glenn) Stokoway and son Kyle of Edmonton, AB; as well as his children?s mother Eloise Kyle of Victoria, BC. Jake is also survived by four step-children, Brit McKinna of Prince George, BC; Rick McKinna of Winnipeg, MB; Sherry (Rod) Hauser of Calgary and their children Kyle and Carly; and David McKinna, also of Calgary. He is also survived by four brothers, Alf, Bill, Herb and Ben Neufeld and his sister Agatha DeFehr. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, October 8, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
