Obituary of Shirley Irene Short

Shirley Irene (Doucey) Short of Calgary passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre on Thursday, September 30, 2004 at the age of 80 years. Shirley was born on August 30, 1924 in Regina, SK. She was employed with Burns Meats for many years and was a long time member of E.W.I. Shirley is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbi and Clem Engelman of Calgary, and Gayle and Terry Wrigley of DeWinton, AB; three grandchildren, Thalia, Cody, and Alix; a sister Margaret Short of Calgary; as well as special family, Jim, Donna and Jackie. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Frank. Graveside Service will be held at Burnsland Cemetery in the Field of Honour (Spiller Road & 27th Avenue S.E.) on Thursday, October 7, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. A Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Chaplehow Branch No. 284 ( 606 – 38th Avenue N.E.) on Thursday, October 7, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
