Obituary of Elmer David Guse

Elmer David Guse, beloved husband of Shirley Bertsch of Calgary, passed away at the Rockyview Hospital on Sunday, September 26, 2004 at the age of 72 years. Elmer worked for many years in the oil and gas industry, beginning his career internationally with Dowell Schlumberger Canada Ltd. Elmer returned to Canada and semi-retired. After trying a few new things, he decided to return to the industry, working for McAllister Petroleum Service, Sunada Technology and finally, Lonkar Services. Besides his loving wife Shirley Bertsch, Elmer is also survived by his children and their spouses, Kirk (Kathy) Guse, Lance (Chris) Guse, Gerry (Gary) McEachern, and Cam (Sandy) Guse. Elmer is also survived by eight grandchildren; his two sisters, Annie and Emma; and two aunts, Gladys and Molly. He was predeceased by his twin sister Ester; and two brothers, Ron and Walter.
