Obituary of Anna Ramicone

Anna Ramicone of Calgary, passed away peacefully at her residence with her beloved family by her side on Friday, September 24, 2004 after a battle with cancer at the age of 77 years. Anna was born July 27, 1927 in Rivisondoli, L’Aquila, Italy. She married Alfredo on October 21, 1951 in Italy and immigrated to Canada with their two daughters in 1966. In 1967 she began working at the Calgary Petroleum Club, where she worked until her retirement in 1987. Anna was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and the 11:45 Choir there. She was also a member of the Young Italian Seniors Club. Anna enjoyed the company of family and friends, cooking and traveling. Anna is lovingly remembered by her daughters and sons-in-law, Francesca and Orlando Olivieri, and by Lina and Ivano Marson, all of Calgary; four grandchildren, Bruno (Julie) Olivieri, Gianni Olivieri, Cinzia Marson and Fabio Marson. She is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Arturo and Maria Mascio of New Castle, PA; a sister Antonietta Mascio of Italy; a brother-in-law Salvatore Di Marino of Italy; and by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins in Italy and the United States. She was predeceased by her husband Alfredo on December 18, 2001; her parents Ercolina and Nicola Mascio; her sister Emerina Mascio; two infant brothers, Fernando and Luciano Mascio; and a nephew Salvatore Di Marino. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev.
