Obituary of Brian Thomas Sigvaldason

Brian Thomas Sigvaldason, beloved husband of Mrs. Barbara Sigvaldason, passed away at their home in Calgary on September 24, 2004 at the age of 55 years. Brian was born on the family farm in Vidir, MB. After living in British Columbia, the family relocated to Calgary in 1990. Brian worked for Finning Ltd. for twenty-five years, and more recently, for Gold Seal Mechanical. He enjoyed hockey, and shared his love of the sport through coaching. Brian had a special fondness for children and enjoyed golf. Besides Barbara, his loving wife of twenty-seven years, Brian is survived by his children, Corey and Rosalie Sigvaldason of Kamloops, BC; Lisa and Christopher McManes and Tom Sigvaldason, all of Calgary, AB. He is also survived by sisters and brothers, Carol Bardarson, Beverly and Barny Einarson, Don and Jeanette Sigvaldason, Keith Sigvaldason, Lois and Dave Fortin; brothers and sister-in-laws, Ron and Shirley Borkowsky, Fred and Sandy Garn; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Brian was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Osk Anna and brother-in-law Sam Bardarson. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Dennis Aicken officiating.
