Obituary of Jacques Gervais

Jacques (Jack) Gervais, beloved husband of June Piro of Calgary, passed away suddenly at home on Monday, September 20, 2004 at the age of 51 years. He was born and raised in Coaticook, QC. As a young man, Jack ventured across Canada, working throughout the provinces and making many friends along the way, making Calgary his home for the past thirty years. His career of driving truck spanned twenty-five years, twelve of which he spent with Canada Packers. He also worked construction for the past few years. Jack was a loving husband and friend to June for over fifteen years. He took on the challenge of helping her raise three teenagers. Jack was everybody’s friend and was there to lend a hand or a dollar whenever needed. He lived life to the fullest. Besides his loving partner of fifteen years, June, Jack is also survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Ryan and Margaret Piro, Scott and Shawna Piro; a daughter Angela Endicott, all of Calgary; and by seven grandchildren, Jessica, Lauren, Lila, Emily, Curtis, Travis, and Jake. He is also survived by his mother Florence; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Lise, Francine, Diane and Jean-Guy, Helene and Roger, and Louise; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Andre and Rachel, Claude and Suzanne, Pierre and Christine and Denis; four sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Joy and Bob, Dennis and Janice, Cindy and Gail; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by his father Jean-Marie in 2000 and a brother Guy in 1971. A Celebration of Jack’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Sunday, September 26, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
