Obituary of Edwin Oscar Korns

Edwin Oscar Korns, beloved husband of Irene Korns, of Calgary passed away at the Beverly Centre Lake Midnapore on Thursday, September 16, 2004 at the age of 88 years. Edwin was born on January 21, 1916 in Madona, Latvia and immigrated to Canada in 1949. In Calgary Edwin’s career was as a Structural Engineer, running his own firm for many years. Besides his loving wife, Edwin is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Klaus and Dilene Korns; and two daughters and sons-in-law, Gunta Anna and Mike Witwicki and Ruth and Steven Helton; grandchildren, Leanna and Andrew Arida, and Kristen Korns. He is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law Vilis and Violet Korns; a sister Aina Upitis; and numerous extended family. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Monday, September 20, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
