Obituary of Violet Rose Porter

Violet Rose Porter (nee Weeden) of Calgary passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on Tuesday, September 7, 2004 at the age of 78 years. Violet was born in Montreal on November 17, 1925. She endured her illness with great courage and strength for several years and is now at peace. Violet was always concerned throughout her lifetime for those in need. Violet was a dear mother to Gail (George Kalba); grandmother to Kim (Fred Stricker), Natalie (Dwayne Delfs), and Wendy (Steve Vaillancourt); great-grandmother to Alysha Carter, Joshua Stricker, Madison and Tanner Delfs and Megan Vaillancourt. Violet was predeceased by her loving husband Walter Edwin Porter. “She is now in the arms of the Angels.” Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, September 10, 2004 at 12:30 p.m. Graveside Service will be held at Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal, QC.
