Obituary of Beatrice Richards

Beatrice Eileen Richards of Calgary passed away peacefully at the Beverly Centre Lake Midnapore on Sunday, September 5, 2004 at the age of 92 years. Eileen was born in Ystred, South Wales and immigrated to Coleman, AB in 1921. She graduated as a nurse from St. Eugene’s Hospital in Cranbrook in 1934. Eileen married Lorenzo Richards in 1934. They moved to Ottawa, ON from Coleman in 1956. Eileen is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Ada and Cal McCulloch, and Lorna and Charles Hoens. She will be missed by her five grandchildren, Gordon and Garry McCulloch, Susan McCulloch Hoffman, Cindy Hoens, and Bonnie Capes; her seven great-grandchildren, Kirsten, Christopher, and Danae McCulloch, Sean and Connor McCulloch, and Emma and Greta Hoffman; and her three sisters-in-law, Mary Cousins, Jenny Cousins and Eileen Foster. She was predeceased by her husband Lorenzo Richards who died in 1987. Eileen will be missed by all. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Pinecrest Cemetery, in Nepean, Ontario.
