Obituary of Steve Karpuk

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden loss of Steve Karpuk on Thursday, August 26, 2004 at the age of 71 years. Steve was born and raised in Calgary and resided in the Bridgeland area for many years during his childhood. He married Ethel in 1955 and for a brief time resided in Lethbridge before returning to Calgary to settle in Brentwood where he volunteered many hours coaching hockey. He was employed in the construction industry and retired from his career in estimating after spending twenty-two years with Pockar Masonry. Upon his retirement he spent many enjoyable hours at the golf course with his lifelong friends. Steve will be forever remembered for his tireless enjoyment at every hockey arena and soccer field that his grandchildren played in. He supported his family in everything they did. Steve was a wonderful husband and dedicated father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving wife Ethel; daughter Brenda and grandchildren, Carisa and Sara; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Karen and grandchildren, Chris and Jenna; son and daughter-in-law, David and Karen and grandchildren, Josh and Jordan; and father William Karpuk, all of Calgary. He was predeceased by his mother Victoria Karpuk.
