Obituary of William Ewaschuk

It is with great sorrow that the family of Bill Ewaschuk announces his passing on Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at the age of 75 years. Born on February 19, 1929 at Krakow, Alberta, Bill attended TECH, now known as SAIT, and graduated with his Auto Mechanics Certificate while apprenticing with Alberta Nash. When Alberta Nash closed its business Bill started his new career with the Calgary Herald and worked there for thirty-four years until his retirement in 1991. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Annette of fourty-seven years; his children, Linda (Victor) Klimavicius, Douglas Ewaschuk, and Barbara (Robert) Pelletier; his four cherished grandsons, Kristopher, Ryan, Bradley, and Collin, all of Calgary; brothers John (Anne) and Edward (Rosaline); and his sister Elsie; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Mary; and his bother Joseph. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Stephen’s Ukrainian Catholic Church (4903 – 45th Street S.W.) on Monday, August 30, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Rendall Yackimec, Celebrant.
