Obituary of Filiberto Grossi

Following many difficult and long health battles which he endured with great courage and dignity, Filiberto Grossi, beloved husband of Lina Grossi of Calgary, passed away at the Peter Lougheed Centre on Monday, August 23, 2004 at the age of 81 years with his family by his side. Filiberto was born on September 30, 1922 in Villalago, Italy. Filiberto was predeceased by his youngest son Carmelo. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of fifty-seven years Lina; his sons Leo (Rafela) and Roger (Shelley); and his cherished grandchildren, Lina and Phillip. He is also survived by his sisters, Maria and Elva and their children, all of Calgary; along with numerous family and friends both in Calgary and elsewhere. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, August 26, 2004 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Friday, August 27, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
