Obituary of Ivy Margaret Afseth

Ivy Margaret Afseth, beloved wife of Dave of Calgary, passed away tragically on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at the age of 47 years. Ivy was born on September 29, 1956 in Mayerthorpe, AB. She met Dave, her husband of twenty-nine years in Mayerthorpe and they married a year later. Ivy had a great love for people and life, she was a very giving individual and always made people feel comfortable. Ivy was the envy of every child she met; they all wanted a mother just like her. She also worked with children with disabilities. Ivy enjoyed camping with her family and golfing with Dave. Besides her loving husband Dave, Ivy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Buffy; her daughter and son-in-law Stacy and Robert; as well as three grandchildren, Paige, Ireland, and Hailey all of Calgary. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (4718 Worcester Drive S.W.) on Monday, August 23, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Paul Coderre officiating. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (4718 Worcester Drive S.W.) on Tuesday, August 24, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Leonard J. Hagel, Presider.
