Obituary of Mary-Jane Sharpe

Mary-Jane Sharpe of Calgary, passed away at the Bethany Care Centre on Wednesday, August 11, 2004, at the age of 94 years. Mary-Jane was born March 29, 1910 in Carlisle, England and immigrated to Canada when she was an infant, and resided in Alberta since then. She had enjoyed being a homemaker and mother most of her life. Mary-Jane is survived by her son Joe of Calgary; five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Irene Sharpe of Los Angeles, CA; a niece, nephew and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Alexander on June 6, 1979, two sons Jim and Earle Sharpe, daughter Isobel Sharpe and daughter-in-law Tillie Sharpe and sister Doris McQueen. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, August 14, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
