Obituary of Dorothy Jean Thornborough

Dorothy (Dot) Jean Thornborough (nee Rushton) of Calgary passed away at the Peter Lougheed Centre on Monday, August 2, 2004 at the age of 81 years. Dot was born on February 6, 1923 in Toronto, ON. She was brought up and resided in Ontario as well as several of the Prairie Provinces before moving to Edmonton, AB in 1963. Dot and her husband, Jack, retired in 1980 in Victoria, BC before settling in Calgary in 1984. Dot had a great passion for reading, especially biographies. Dot is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Reg and Catherine of Edmonton, Jeff and Joan of Calgary and Rod and Marilyn of Thorsby; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandsons. She was predeceased by her husband Jack (Philip John) on February 8, 1995. Family Memorial Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E., Calgary, AB).
