Obituary of Klaas Folkerts

Klaas Folkerts, beloved husband of Riet Folkerts of Calgary, went to be with his Lord at the AgapÚ Hospice on Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at the age of 76 years. Klaas was born in Franeker, Holland on March 15, 1928 and immigrated to Canada in 1948. He was an active member of First C.R.C. for over fifty years. Besides his loving wife of fifty-two years, Klaas is remembered by three daughters and a son, Joanne and Ralph, Agnes and Paul, Mary-Anne and Jon, and Martin and Jodie; beloved Pake of eleven favourite grandchildren, Janelle, Shannon, Kurtis, Kyle (Ingrid), Lisa, Jason, Andrea, Philip, Danielle, Jordan, and Kara. He is also survived by three brothers; four sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Klaas was predeceased by three brothers. Memorial Services will be held at Emmanuel Christian Reformed Church (3020 – 51st Street S.W.) on Monday, August 9, 2004 at 1:30 P.M. with Pastor Phil Reinders officiating.
