Obituary of Marion Agnes Dyson

Marion Agnes (nee McCaig) Dyson of Calgary, passed away at the Whitehorn Retirement Village on Sunday, July 25, 2004 at the age of 86 years. Marion was born May 1, 1918 in Rutland, SK., where she was raised and educated. She resided in various locations, due to her husband’s career in the oil industry. Edmonton was home to her before moving to Calgary in 1955. Marion is survived by her son Gary Thorn of Calgary; daughter and son-in-law Penny and Jim Jobb of St. Albert; and son-in-law Murray McCann of Calgary. She is survived by ten grandchildren Heather (Rick) Knoll, John McCann (Rich Matiowsky), Rod (Karen) McCann, Michelle (Ryan) Fox, Jill (Michael) McDonough, Paul (Korin) Jobb, Jeffrey Jobb, Jennifer (Dom) Lajoie, Lynne (Harvey) Lewsaw and Brad Thorn; and eighteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law Lorne and Ruth McCaig of Unity, SK.; sister Audrey Jourdenais of Modesto, CA. She was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1972 and daughter Myrna McCann in 2001. Funeral Services will be held at Holy Cross Anglican Church (2828 – 19th Street N.W.) on Friday, July 31, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. with Archdeacon Peter Millen officiating.
