Obituary of Bernadette Grassegger

Bernadette Grassegger, beloved wife of Max of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre on Monday, July 26, 2004 at the age of 70 years, after a three year battle with cancer. Bernadette was born on March 25, 1934 in Matzelsdorf, Austria and immigrated to Canada in December of 1954. She enjoyed vegetable and floral gardening, as well as being an excellent baker (moon cookies). Besides her loving husband Max, Bernadette is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Eveliene and Chris Pepin, Maxiene and Marc Lallier, Heidi and Roman Gontko, and Wendy and Daryl Blazina, all of Calgary; and eleven grandchildren, Cody, Zachery, Amanda, Tammy, Allan, Sonia, Shawn, Riley, Rhys, Nathan and Megan. She is also survived by five brothers, four sisters and their families, all of Austria. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street and Northmount Drive N.W.) on Thursday, July 29, 2004 at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street and Northmount Drive N.W.) on Friday, July 30, 2004 at 10:30 A.M. with the Rev. A. Wayne Poile, Presider.
