Obituary of Kathleen Munroe

Kathleen Munroe of Calgary passed away peacefully at the Rosedale Hospice on Thursday, July 22, 2004, at the age of 79 years, after a valiant struggle with cancer. She spent her life loving, laughing, and caring for all. She had a nature you could not help loving And a heart that was purer than gold And to those who knew and loved her Her memory will never grow cold. Kathleen will be remembered by her son Alex Shagory of Richmond, BC; her two daughters and sons-in-law, Alice (Greg) Mohr of St. Albert, AB and Maura (Jim) Schmidt of Calgary; and three grandchildren, Kelsi, Kiara, and Kaitlin, all of Calgary. She is also survived by a sister, Maura McCaffrey; two brothers, James McCaffrey and John (Molly) McCaffrey; as well as eight nieces and nephews and their children, John Joe (Geraldine) McCaffrey, Delores (Michael) Martin, Adrian (Geraldine) McCaffrey, Florence McCaffrey, Seamus (Lorraine) McCaffrey, Martina (Sean) McMahon, Grainne (Pat) Dolan, and Brian (Cathy) McCaffrey. She was predeceased by her mother Florence; father Nathaniel; sister Florence; and son James Joseph. Funeral Services will be held at St. Patrick;s Catholic Church (1414 Shawnessy Blvd. S.W.) on Monday, July 26, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Keith F. Sorge, Presider.
