Obituary of Helga Theresa Nitschmann

Helga Theresa Nitschmann of Calgary, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital in Edmonton on Tuesday, July 20, 2004 after a short and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 79 years. Helga was born in Vienna, Austria on April 14, 1925. She loved gardening, and volunteering her time in the library at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Helga is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Eric and Liz of Edmonton; five grandchildren, Christian, Lindsay, Darren, Jeffrey, and Jeramie; and a great-grandson Caleb. She is also survived by her brother Karli; a sister-in-law Oli; and a niece Gaby, all of Vienna, Austria. She was predeceased by her husband Erich. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (10827 – 24th Street S.W.) on Monday, July 26, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Jack Pereira Presider.
