Obituary of Norah Taylor

Norah, our beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on July 15, 2004 after a long and happy life. Left to mourn are her children, Joe (Sue), Bill (Judy) and Elizabeth; grandchildren, Kelly, Dave, Bill, John and Rob (Laura); great-granddaughters, Emily and Olivia. Norah was predeceased by her husband Joe in 1966. Norah was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England and she and Joe came to Canada in 1952. In her retirement years, Norah continued enjoying life spending countless hours in volunteer knitting for the Calgary General Hospital and being very active in the Calgary Lawn Bowling Club as well as travelling frequently. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at St. James Catholic Church (5504 – 20th Street S.W.) on Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at 6:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church (5504 – 20th Street S.W.) on Wednesday July 21, 2004 at 11:00 A.M with the Rev. Rupert A. MacLelland, Presider. Many thanks to CHR Home Care (especially Lorraine) and heartfelt thanks for the loving and dedicated care Mom received at the Chinook Care Centre during the last year of her life.
