Obituary of Leopold Metez

Leopold (Polde) Metez of Calgary passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at the age of 92 years. Polde was born on February 26, 1912 in Veliki Nerajec, Slovenija. Polde immigrated to Canada in 1993 to be with his family. Leopold is remembered by his daughter and son-in-law Milena and Arando Yantol of Sherwood Park, AB; his two sons and two daughters-in-law, Tony and Olga Metez of Calgary and Leo and Stephanie Metez of Kelowna, BC; six grandchildren, Marianne, Janice, Anthony, Shaun, Robert, and Marinka; and four great-grandchildren, Nina, Kristjan, Mihael, and Ayla. Leopold was predeceased by his wife Maria Metez in 1988 and a son Joze Metez in 2001.
